The Novice Course has been designed to follow on from the puppy training, but it isn’t necessary for you to have been through the first level. This is where your training really begins.

Over an 8 week period you will share 45 minutes a week with 7 other dogs, they may vary in age, we don’t just take in pups, people rescue dogs all of the time, and some of them need a little refresher course, so please be aware that you may not be in a room filled with dogs the same age as yours.

We will cover very basic commands such as sit, down and stand, and over the coming weeks move onto recalls (coming back when called), door control (to stop your excited dog running out of your front door before you) and the all important lead control (walking to heel). There are many other exercises we cover, and also a few tricks thrown in for good measure, all dogs love a challenge, and it is fun for the kids to teach the tricks, it provides a great sense of achievement, and allows your children to interact with your dog on a more intense level.
